Informal Ride out of Harris Lake County Park, Sunday July 5th, 8:00am

Triangle Triathlon is next Sunday, and I really want to take a test ride on the bike course before race day.

If anyone wants to join me this Sunday (7/5), I plan to ride the bike course and follow-up with a 5k run. If anyone doesn't want to run (I know there are a few of you out there), you can always ride the bike course twice to get 35 miles in and make the trip worth your while.

Here is the link to the race website where you can get a course map. Quick version is
Left out of Park parking lot onto New Hill Holleman
right on Friendship
right on New Hill Road
Right on Hwy 55 Bypass
Right on Avent Ferry Rd
Right on New Hill Holleman
left into park parking lot

http://www.setupevents.com/index.cfm...l&eventID=1177

I really want to do one loop and then run the 5k. I'm sure others may just want to ride the loop twice to get some mileage in.

Andrea, what time...Me and Rich were talking about doing the same thing...

Do you have the 5k route ??

Oh, 8am...gotcha..Yes, I will be there, and I will drag Rich along as well. Tom probably won't want to unless may Leah is going to do two laps on the bike...he can ride another while I run with Andrea... ???

Bess, you can follow the link in my previous post to get the route maps. It has the routes for swim, bike and run.

We're thinking about it. Even though we're not doing the triathlon we'll ride the course and run (or walk) the 5k. This will be a game day decision though as I have to work all weekend and Sunday morning is the only sleeping in opportunity we have.

I'm thinking of doing a bike lap and a run lap, as long as no one expects me to keep up to them in the run.

Do you know what speed you're going to be riding at? I want to be sure I'm contributing, not holding someone back.
Thanks,
Dark Helmet
