We will probably be biking somewhere between 16 and 19. Since it's only 17 miles and some of us are prepping for a race, we'll probably be in the mid-to-high end of that range.

i'm interested in the bike route.. and multiple laps are okay with me. This assumes, however, that i get back from wilmington at a reasonable hour tomorrow evening.

I'd really like to do the ride and run, but I racked my right knee a couple of months ago and it's still not quite ready for me to start running again. So, I'd also be up for two cycling laps!

I'm in...is this the start of the Tri-Team we were talking about starting on the ride yesterday? Now I have to figure out how to get to Harris Park where you are starting from. I'm not real familiar with anything over there - other than the Visitors Center at power plant. Google - take me there!!

I've tried to put the run course map up against the Park's trail map (link below), and I think we're just gonna have to wing it.

I think we run down the white road that starts at Peninsula Trail and turnaround when we hit one mile on the Garmin. We come back, turn left on Peninsula Trail and follow that to somewhere near the disc golf course. At that point we should be taking a right onto a grass trail. Follow that until we reach a gravel road (turn right) and then turn right onto County Park Road back to our cars.

If anyone else thinks they can figure this out, please have at it. Otherwise, we'll just have to improvise and try to stay together so that nobody gets lost in the woods.

Let's park and meet-up in the furthest parking lot from the entrance (the one near the fishing pier and shelters #2 and #3. From what I can tell, this lot is right next to the transition area.

If I end-up with a case of cabin fever today (and if I ever get rid of this stupid hangover), I may try taking the dog there for a walk to scope it out.

Hmmmm...we could be the founding members of the Spokes Tri Team. Now we just need matching tri suits Brian are you listening???

If you're taking US1 to New Hill-Holleman Road, then go past the Harris Visitors Center (where we usually ride from), and about one mile or so down the road, you'll see the park entrance on the right. If you reach the intersection with Avent Ferry and Rex Road, turn around 'cuz you've gone too far.

If you're coming from Avent Ferry Road, you will take a right onto New Hill-Holleman, and then watch for the park entrance on the left. If you reach the Harris Visitor's Center, you've gone too far.
