It is at the corner of Kildaire Farm Road and High Meadow Drive. Most shops have moved out of the center, but I know there still is a McDonald's on the corner and an Outback steakhouse behind it. The sign for "Saltbox Village' can be seen from Kildaire Farm Road. The shopping center has a parking lot where you can park. This same parking lot will be the starting/finishing point for the ride.

I can name more shops that are no longer in Saltbox Village than I can ones that are still there

It is where The Spin Cycle and Fresh Market used to be. It is next to and behind the MacDonalds on Kildaire Farm Road near the intersection of Kildaire Farm Rd and High Meadow Drive. Since many of the shops that used to draw in the business are no longer there, it is safe to park in the row closest to MacDonalds (away from the shops that are still open for business.

I am interested in making this ride but I do not know where Salt Box Village is - are there direction anywhere.

Also I ride a trike and I do not mind riding in back of the group because I am not sure is it would be a good idea for me to ride in your pace line. My trike is a bit low for anyone to draft off of and because of it[s width it might cause trouble. Anyway let me know what you think.

Ashby,

I'm not all that familiar with riding in groups with recumbents. So I'm not sure how to answer your question.

I enjoyed riding with you last weekend. You clearly have a lot of experience riding on the road. But I'm not certain if this is a good ride for you or not.

Lets talk about it. Check your email for a private message.

For anyone who needs it, here is a link to the map to the McDonald's @ Saltbox Village. The address is 1299 Kildaire Farm Rd, Cary, 27511.

Okay, I'm sorry, but I am weather wimping. It's 22 degrees at 8 am. True, it is not very windy, but I think I'll wait until it gets warmer this afternoon and go out.
