Careful Winnie, Tim will drop you out there!

btw bob, i think you can get rid of the "I need to ride more" qualifier, you're numbers are respectable... now we need focused peer pressure on pedal boy's beer count.

It is a pretty anemic effort isn't it. Then again, maybe he just can't count and is actually having more beers than he remembers from the foggy haze he gets in sometimes....

Cool

Betsy I have made route for my GPD of the 70+ plus route posted here which is about 66 miles and then made a route the turns East on SR 64 at Big Woods - the only route I can see back to the start form here is back SR 64 until we get to Davis Dr where we would turn North and follow it back to the start the same way we way we started the ride. If this is what you had in mind my softway says this is 52.5 mile route.

Now that I look at it the Shearron Harris 40 isn't close to what you guys are doing. Here's what I came up with. Cuts off the beginning, keeps the end. Hard to cut off at the end because you're on the other side of the lake.

No problem, We can shorten this up and make it easy so everyone that wants to come along can have a good ride.

I think we should stop off at Betsy and Brian's new house for cake and ice cream since it is along the way.

It can be a rest stop, granted its not a finished house and the model home doesn't open til 1 pm. We can look for some cupcake flavored GU gels or just have a water toast.

We definitely can stop (we had planned on it anyway to document any progress) - bike helmets count as hard hats! they haven't gone to dry wall yet, but there's enough there to give the grand tour! It's pretty much right at mile 45 - FYI. Plus Yates Store Road is a better option to get back to Carpenter Fire Station even though it doesn't look done on the map - it is, I've ridden on it.

Let's plan on taking the tour.

What do you all, (y'all, all y'all) think about the shorter route?
