TeamCBC Ride Sun Nov 15th

Hi all!

Happy Turkey Month!

Our next ride is this coming Sunday November 15th It is currently charted to be Sunny and a high of 69.

We are doing two different routes. They are part of our new 72, but we are cutting them a little short due to the time of year.

When: Sunday, 11/15/09 Please be prompt! Watch your start times.
10:00 50 milers depart
11:00 35 milers depart

Everyone arrives back at the brewery at about 2:00 PM or so.

As usual, Greg will have the brewery open. Make sure to thank Greg and the Carolina Brewing Company for being the sponsor of TeamCBC so drop in a few coins at the tap tip jar.

Waivers: Everyone who rides will be required to fill out and sign a waiver. We will have waivers available before each ride. You only have to sign the waiver once for 2009.

Where:
Carolina Brewing Company
140 Thomas Mill Road
Holly Springs, NC 27540
(Park in the lot or along the street)

Distance:
50 Miles - Follows the map up to the Wilsonville rest stop on Beaver Creek and 64, then returns and heads up Hwy 1. Take Shearon Harris off of Hwy 1.
35 Miles - Follow the map to Merry Oaks rest stop, then head up Hwy 1 to Shearon Harris
Map
You can create a shorter route or do the whole route as desired off the map.

Cue Sheets Attached (Please print):

Pace: Dependent on who shows up and what routes they are doing. Groups decide on their pace at the start of each distance.
50 miles - At your pace, but we recommend riding as a group.
35 miles - At your pace, but we recommend riding as a group.

Contact Person: Bob. Send me an e-mail or call 785-550-6550 if you have any questions.

Shorter Route?

Anyone interested in a shorter route, say 20 miles or so?

I haven't ridden in a while and don't feel quite up to 35 miles.

Jerry,

If you follow the 50 route map down to Burt and cut over to Cass Holt, then take Rex/New Hill to Friendship and back up it gives you somewhere around 20-25 miles.

Just a thought.

Bob

I might do a shortened version. There are many different options.

I think there is an error in the 35 cue sheet. You have to go right on Avent Ferry from Earp Street if you're coming from the direction of Burt.

I've plotted an 18 mile route. We could start at 12:30 pm.

Cool

Wish I could ride but I have a conflict - going to a Hamfest with Dad - I may make to the gathering after the ride.

Missed this note previously Bob, but your statement is pretty much in line with what I was looking at.

I'll try it again. Hopefully my crew can stay out of trouble this weekend and let me have a little sleep. 50 miles.
