TeamCBC Ride Sun Oct 18th

Hello everyone!

Happy Oktoberfest!

Our next ride is this coming Sunday October 18th. Here are the specifics:

I have decided I can't do the food this time. Greg will have the brewery open for us.

Te,peratures will be in the 50s. Looks like a nice day however. It should be 50 degrees at 10AM and 56 at noon.

The classic Sunday ride from the Carolina Brewing Company is on Sunday October 18th.

NOTE: You MUST be able to average the given speeds on the 72 mile route to ride the route. If you cannot maintain that pace over 72 miles you will need to work on your speed on the 42 mile route. This is for your benefit and safety!

We are going to test out new routes! We attempted to smooth out the routes and are skipping Cokesbury Hill! The 72 looks fast.

When: Sunday, 10/18/09 Please be prompt! Watch your start times.
10:00 72 milers depart (17 MPH+ speed is an average over the distance)
11:30 42 milers depart (Different route here as well)
12:30 26 milers depart (This is also a new route. No Bass Lake Hill!)

Everyone arrives back at the brewery at about 3:30 PM or so.

As usual, Greg will have the brewery open. Make sure to thank Greg and the Carolina Brewing Company for being the sponsor of TeamCBC! CBC is donating the beer to support our MS fundraising efforts so drop in a few coins at the tap tip jar.

Waivers: Everyone who rides will be required to fill out and sign a waiver. We will have waivers available before each ride. You only have to sign the waiver once.

Where:
Carolina Brewing Company
140 Thomas Mill Road
Holly Springs, NC 27540
(Park in the lot or along the street)

Distance:
26 miles
42 miles
72 miles

Cue Sheets Attached (Please print):

Pace:
72 Miles - 17+
42 miles - At your pace, but we recommend riding as a group.
26 miles - At your pace, but we recommend riding as a group.

This pleases me and I am responding in the affirmative.

New route eh? I like it. I say we skip the first rest stop though. Everyone should be able to make it to Wilsonville on two bottles---as long as they remember to bring them.

We'll just hand you some Gatorade powder to spray around, then no one will need bottles...just breath it in!

We plan to be there. Not sure which route - one of the two later ones. Depends on a) what time my parents leave to go home and b) how cold it is that morning. B&B

I may change the start time due to temps. Make sure you check in Saturday by noon just in case. Right now it looks to be in the mid-50s with clear weather.

I changed the start times. Please review the announcement for the new start times. I'll post cue sheets soon.

I'll be there, not sure which one. I have a strict rule of - Nikki doesn't ride in anything less than 50 degrees. I will get there, even if it is just for the beer and sub, if that is allowed.

BBPB may not make it tomorrow. I hear that if it's below 60 he doesn't ride.
