hello i have a question should i get rim breaks or disk breaks? my bike is a mountain bike and i like ot do wheelies and other fun stuff =D. but i was wondering if i should get disk breaks or rim breaks? one freind suggested disk adn the other rim breaks so i was wondering what should i get?

It depends. I have both on different bikes. Once the disk breaks are alligned properly, they are virtually mainenance free. On the other hand, when you have a flat, getting them lined up correctly again can be a bit of a challenge. I once spent more time trying to get the front wheel in correctly than I had spent changing out the tube.
Both require maintenance and the pads will eventually wear out. Disk brakes don't need to dry out after going through a puddle. But they are in the way if you want to mount racks on your bike.
I bought a Trek SU200 because I wanted the disk brakes. My mistake. It will be up for sale when the spring riding season starts. It's a great bike, it just isn't what I thought I wanted.
It's a tough question.
If you ride single track more than fire roads (like Umstead) then get disc brakes. I would not get hydraulics. They are messy and require more maintenance.
