I am planning on riding this Saturday at 10am from Blue Jay Point park.

I plan to do about 16mph average speed for about 35 miles. Anyone is welcome. I will be on my inline skates and hope that cyclists or other skaters will consider joining me. 16mph is the target average speed but we will regroup for anyone in the range of 14-16.5mph. My hope is that if we can get a good sized group going this could become a regular thing.

Brrrrr!

I'm a cold weather weenie! High for Saturday is only projected to be 39 with winds 10-15mph  I'm thinking I'll be hitting the trainer in the AM and possibly getting out for a 25mi loop in the afternoon when it gets closer to the projected high. (Those hi's are from today's paper, weather.com looks like it might make it up to 50)

I read your posts (at least I think it was you, if you're Mark) on the Gyros Google group site and found the response from the cyclists there to be way different than how I feel. I don't have a problem riding with skaters as long as I know what they're going to do and how they're going to react to the same stuff I'm seeing while riding.

I've only been cycling for a year and have been in 2 events with skaters. I was a little worried the first time, but who ever it was skating, they were great and I wouldn't have a problem riding with skaters again. Guess people need to be a little more open-minded about this.

So, don't know if I will make it to BJPP Saturday due to the coldness, but if I don't, it surely won't be because I don't want to ride with skaters.

Karen.

I can stand the cold, but I hate to drive a long way to ride.
