Ive taken the Hands On Overhaul from The Spin Cycle. Great class and well worth it.

I attended the Basic Bike Maintenance class at REI not too long ago and learned quite a bit. In fact, I ultimately learned not to be overconfident. Even though the mechanic makes it look pretty easy, carelessly tweaking the rear deraileur can lead to a trip to the bike shop. Seriously though, it can be done but minor adjustments go a very long way.

Ive taken the Hands On Overhaul from The Spin Cycle. Great class and well worth it.I agree. After I took the course, I asked Matt how much they charge to overhaul a bike. My wife's bike needed an overhaul, and I was trying to decide whether to buy the tools I needed to do it myself or have Matt do it. It turns out that the class is less expensive than an overhaul, and you get your bike overhauled in the process.
