I see that Jay uses this traineo website to track his cycling, etc. Anybody else? Jay, what do you think of the site?
I was wondering if we should form a group on it and use it to track our rides. Or is there another better alternative?
Thanks!
Jon
I guess it depends on your goal. Weight or Better Rider.
I have played around with it a bit last week. It think it's fine if you are tracking your weight and diet but I don't think it would work very well for tracking rides or your progress as a rider. For me, I'm pretty much at my ideal weight but I want to be a better rider. That means getting on my bike, riding hard and changing my diet a bit. If I gain a bit of weight it's not relevant (except for maybe on hills :) ).
I did like the interface though. Very cool!
I think if you have ride goals then that works better for becoming a better rider. Example: Having a goal of finishing a rider in under so many hours or average MPH for a given ride. You don't really need a whole web site to do that. Achieving a goal like that is a function of a good diet and time spent riding.
I only use it for tracking weight.. none of the other stuff.
For tracking cycling training, I use my Powertap and Garmin 305.
