It is strongly recommended that you carry your driver’s license and health insurance card (or a copy) in case of an emergency. You may also want to program your cell phone with an emergency contact number under the name “ICE” In Case of Emergency.

I saw this ride and figured it would be close to ideal for my girlfriend Jennifer. After talking with her she said "sign me up". So please count Jen and I in for this ride.

Thanks Mike. Jen will like this ride. About 6 miles of it is on a striped bike lane.

The striped bike lane would be a perfect way to introduce my 8-year-old to riding in traffic. She has a prior commitment on Sunday afternoon, but I've printed the cue sheet so Kayley and I can try this ride on our own sometime.

I might make this one. I plan on cycling 20 miles, but I can just go around 3 times. I'm mainly interested in getting comfortable on my road bike and getting my mileage in (I'm in the MS 150 with the Cisco team). I'll let you know if something comes up, but otherwise, I'll be there. Thanks so much!

Andrea,
Glad you can use the cue sheet. It is a nice route for new riders who may be concerned about riding with traffic. Having the bike lane is great!

Well I made it after all. Let's see I think it was 7.2 miles. Our group averaged 15.8 by my confuser.
For the total day I went 25.25 at 16.2. The wind was at my back all the way down ten-ten on the last leg of the trip home. Ahhhh!

It was a little chilly during the first loop, but warmed up a bit for the second loop.
Thanks Michelle for leading from the back! Thanks Mike D. for bringing Jen so she could try out the beginner route. Thanks Winnie, Sandy and others for driving so far to join us. Jackie T., good to see you again! And, thanks to the hammerheads who joined us…;)

Andrea and her daughter arrived right after the ride to check out the route and rode one loop.
