The US Open race is from Williamsburg to Richmond, VA on Sat, April 7th.

(website did not work for me in firefox, and it does not like my click-to-play flash plugin)

There are circuits in Williamsburg and in Richmond. It looks like the race starts at 8am, and they expect it to end around 12:30pm. There will be a jumbotron at the finish line in Richmond, and a health/fitness fair.

The women's race is shorter than the men's race.

Scott and I are debating whether to reduce our weekend cycling time, and go watch a race. I think there will be a crit in Raleigh during Memorial day weekend, but this is a big race with a jumbotron, and it's part of the Jamestown 2007 hoopla.

I was forced to memorize a lot of Virginia history in 7th grade.

If they have the criterium again, I would like to get a group of us together to attend. That would be fun.

I was thinking the same thing after I read the article today. I think it would a good time.
