Out of towner looking for a ride on Friday or Saturday the 29th/30th

I'm going to be in Chapel Hill for business this week and I'm renting a road bike. I'm from Seattle and I'm looking for a ride in the area. I have no idea about the relative locations of the cities in the research triangle. I'd love to hook up with the locals and learn about the area and have some fun.

I'm an average cyclist that averages 17-20 on flats, and used to doing hills. I'm not used to the heat or the area.

They are based in Chapel Hill, and (I think) have several rides posted for each week and usually at least a couple rides each weekend.

All of which typically mean there is a 30-50% chance of rain in your area, but it is likely many areas will see no rain, and you may well successfully play "dodge-em" and never get rained on even though there may be some damp (or even wet) roads.

Not expecting Seattle-type monsoon-ish all-day covering-the-entire-area rains.

Your rides are likely to be uneffected.

Went on a 40 mile ride out of carrboro today with a small group from tarwheels the split off with another rider since we were faster than the group. It was fun, pretty, and hot!
