What is the correct way to adjust the Mavic Aksium hub?

It was a bit loose and I tightened the aluminium part (13mm spanner)
and tightened the locknut (17mm) just as you would do with a cone type
hub. The hub's play is now gone but I am not sure if I did the right
thing... does it not have cartridge bearings which are not adjustable?

Any technical info or manual for this hub would be appreciated.

I should have read the Instruction Manual from the Mavic website...
below comes the relevant section. This means that the hub's play can
be adjusted the way I did it even though it contains cartridge
bearings which themselves are not adjustable.

8 - ADJUSTMENT OF BEARINGS
The bearings are pre-adjusted in the factory for
optimal use and long product life.
The play can however be modified. Incorrect
adjustment of the play can damage the bearings or
seriously alter their performance.
Before making any bearing adjustments, make sure
that the axle end screws are correctly tightened
(or the nuts depending on the wheels) (for further
information please check with your Mavic dealer).
The play in the bearings can be adjusted by screwing
or unscrewing the adjustment plate on the hub with
the tool provided (the wheel secured on the dropouts) or
with a flat wrench (wheel out of the bike), depending
on the model of the wheel that you have. For this
delicate operation, please consult your local specialist.
