Custom dictates that is the yellow jersey wearer doesn't start, the
number 2 guy doesn't wear it until he is in the lead after the next
day...respect for the jersey altho seems most of these punks have
little respect for the jersey or the sport. Just respect for
moola..dummasses...

Unfortunately it's a reflection of the global economy, money is the only
thing that counts now. Many, if not most, think you have to cheat to get
it, so that's what they do. The bike is only a means to an end, nothing
more.

I figure the logic is that RM is not officially eliminated from the
race till he fails to make the time cut today.

So there is a yellow jersey in today's stage, a no-show.

Of course, the tour director has accepted RM's removal, so maybe that
logic does not work.

One will be eliminated when not signing in, not because of the time cut.

Secondly i doubt that Conador would have liked riding in the jersy
today, he didn't look too enthustiatic on the podium later today.

Thidly, tradition dicates that the new leade rides in the jersy.

In theory, Rabobank could have changed their minds after today's race
started. RM could have started the race late in the yellow jersey.

But perhaps not after the Sign On closes?

White Nations are growing weary of seeing their sons die in wars to
bring Democracy to people who do not seem all that appreciative. They
are tired of reading of factories going to China and jobs going to
India, while Illegal Aliens march in their cities under foreign flags
to demand their "civil rights" and the Government hands out their Tax
Money as Welfare with both hands.

That's typically a fine, not a DQ.

No -- CyclingNews has it wrong when they write "Alberto Contador (Discovery Channel) spent his first day ever in the race leadership of the Tour but he was strangely not wearing the famed maillot jaune. Tour de France organizers decided this morning that no one would wear the yellow jersey after its former wearer Michael Rasmussen left the Tour in disgrace due to lying about his whereabouts leading-up to the Tour." No -- Rasmussen still had the jersey today. He just wasn't on the race course. If Contador had fallen behind in the standings today, he would never have been in the lead.
