Not content with suicide attacks on bicyclists, squirrels are now
known to savage even innocent pit vipers:

Ominously, the squirrels are developing anti-venom capabilities.
Cheers,

Where's the plague now that we need it?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rabbit_calicivirus
"Practically all of the 300,000,000 rabbits in Australia came from the 24
grey rabbits imported into Australia by Thomas Austin in 1859."
http://www.abc.net.au/science/k2/trek/s58304.htm
"As a member of the Acclimatisation Society of Victoria, Thomas helped to
introduced many species from England, including a number of breeding
rabbits in October 1859 as game for shooting parties. While his efforts
were praised at the time, he has borne the brunt of blame for introducing
this pest to Australia."

Dear Andrew,
The fellow can hardly complain about being bitten, having chopped the
snake's head off for no reason instead of shooing it away.
Squirrels, on the other hand, are known to attack bicycles and
pedestrians without any provocation.
Cheers,
Carl Fogel
