didn't ride in the 1954 Tour.

Misspelled items can really cut down the bidding competition. My
personal favorite ebay search is "cyclecross" instead of "cyclocross".

On the other hand, Bartali had number 13 in 1951

I was wondering how these numbers were fastened to a rider's jersey. --

"When I have pinned my number, I forget I can die" (Fiorenzo Magni - perhaps
world's greatest descender ever - , answering a journalist who asked him
what was his secret).

Ah, Progress: Something is gained, but something is lost...
Didn't see much raggedy pin damage as might be expected from a used
Tour number.
Wonder if the seller knows we're over here whispering about his
