'best' adhesive patches?

I am wondering if anyone has good experiences with adhesive patches on
high-pressure tubes?

I have tried different brands through the years, but so far have yet
to find any that stay patched as well as the regular old glue ones.
Seems that the adhesive ones invariably start leaking hours, or a day
or two after patching.

....but, maybe there are better ones out now? comments?

The stick-on tube patches will never be as good as vulcanizing patches.
However, I have heard people having good results with the Slime Scabs
patches.

Yes, that's inherent in the type of adhesive used.

In the time it takes you to look for an answer to this question, you
could probably buy some adhesive patch kits and patch all the rest of
the flat tires for the rest of your life ...

Glueless patches will save you a few minutes over using Rema's on the
road. Glueless will get you home and then you can do a proper repair
with a Rema.

Oh, you surely jest! I got a pack to test. Did six in a row with
perfect conditions and prep. None held air more more than a few
minutes. I talked to Scott at the LBS and he said he'd given them a
try out of curiosity as well, with the same results.

Rema Tip Top or a suitable facsimile is the only way to go. Glueless
patches are pure marketing.

Is it easy to get all the "glueless" glue off so that you can use a real
patch instead?
