A plastic cup and a supervised trip to the bathroom.
After the Sox' 11-6 win over Oakland, Lowell was summoned to
participate in Major League Baseball's random drug testing. According
to Lowell, others on the team have been asked to submit to the
postgame urine test as many as four times, but it was a first for him.
"I came in after the game and they said, 'They got you,' " Lowell
said. "The only thing that bothered me was that I had just urinated
coming back up to the clubhouse, so I had to down two beers and two
bottles of water and wait 30 minutes."
