I had a great ride with twelve other friends this past weekend. We biked from Beaufort to Cedar Island, ferried to Ocracoke, biked from the south end to the north end of Ocracoke, ferried to Hatteras, and then biked two miles to the motel. Head wind was 30 mph +. The high light of the trip was the return trip home, it was a 30 mph + tailwind on Sunday!
Heading into the wind on Saturday we actually had to pedal on the down side of the bridge in Stacy.
All in all a great trip with a great group of friends.
We met two guys on the ferry, one of which had been biking for 68 days. He started in California, his friend had been biking for over 30, he started from Texas.
