Ironman live tracking of all participants here
http://www.ironmanlive.com/events/ironman/worldchampionship?show=tracker

Jalabert is riding at 23mph, slightly slower than the best men. His
swim took 1:15, transition 4mins. He'll probably pass the women
leaders on the bike leg, they're going about 21mph.

5:30 from the front women at 59 miles into the bike, so should pass
them pretty soon. That means he will be televised on the Ironman
webcast.

so Jalabert did the entire race, and his marathon time was only ten minutes
slower than Lance doing the NY marathon alone. Jalabert 3 hours ten
minutes -26.2 mi. (3:10:08)
Armstrong - 2 hours, 59 minutes and 36 seconds.

Sad comment on Lance

he's now 2:30 down on the lead woman at 89mi, looks like he may do the
transition to the run with them.

I looked at the 35-39 group, and it looks like Jalabert will be in the
lead at the end of the bike. That means he gained over 20 minutes on
most of them on the bike.

Jaja finished the bike 40 seconds ahead of the 1st woman, then lost
1:30 in the transition, though I wonder whether he got his bike taken
care of like for the women leaders. He was 15th in 35-39. He passed
1039 people in the bike portion and after 5.2 miles of the run is in
99th place. He was briefly mentioned then by former winner and current
TV commentator Greg Welch who described him as "10th woman".

Actually, Lance was slowed down by all the autographs he had to sign
and interviews he did during his marathon. I saw the coverage of
Jalabert finishing Ironman, he didn't seem too relaxed, he sort of
held up his arms briefly, then made sure to hit the lap button of his
watch.

Not really. Jalabert has been training for triathlons for many years
now. Armstrong trained for the NYC Marathon for what, 4 or 5 months,
maybe 6?

Of course, if you insist on finding a reason to speak poorly of Lance,
then go ahead. If not this, you'll find something else.

Maybe you should see it for what it really is, not a sad comment on
Lance but a grand comment on Jalabert.
