I've had a Yak Copperhead on one of my vehicles for a few years now and
twice the plastic cap has come off resulting in me losing the front fork
skewer. Each time this happened I've had to order a new skewer, lock core
and cap and it runs me about $50. Yak customer service is about as useful
as nipple on a boar and I'm just trying to find out why the caps keep coming
off and what I can do to prevent it. Seems like a poor design to me but I'm
wondering if others with Yak racks have had this problem.
BTW, I have Thule on my other vehicle and they are much easier to operate
and their customer service seems quite a bit better.
Thanks
