Trust me on this ... anyone who has ever had chest pain which he thinks is
due to a bum ticker, is NOT ever going to push hard again so long as he
lives.

I agree with the above, but unfortunately newsgroups get just ordinary
mortals, not supermen like Tom Sherman and Ed Dolan who can take whatever is
dished out. Nay, a moderated forum is quite ideal for the vast majority of
folks.
All of those who have left ARBR for the BROL forum (a moderated group) are
no doubt happier there. After all, none of them ever said anything for which
they could have been censored. Hells Bells, they did not even have the
imagination to say anything the least bit lively. Moderated forums are for
dead people, but then that is the condition of most folks even though they
appear to be alive and walking about.
A moderated forum will consist of the dead talking to the dead. It is like a
convention of zombies. No thank you! I will take Tom Sherman on an
unmoderated newsgroup any old day. At least he does not put me to sleep.
