Have a Zurich with 1" threaded fork, "Greg Lemond" decal
on right side of toptube (under clearcoat), "World Cycling
Championship 1983-1989" decal on seattube near bb shell
(under clearcoat), "made in USA of domestic & foreign parts"
decal also on seattube (& yes, under clearcoat). Bottom
bracket shell has following stamped nomenclature:
drive side: WTU 0020 829P
non-drive: 280 59 TBI 1311
frame size is a 59, so that accounts for the 59.
Any idea of the rest? and, any way to tell year made?
Trek is of no help.
Thanks. KenW

Sounds like a Trek-made frame. The WTU might be waterloo. Lugged or
TIG?

Well, it was at least after '89, or they wouldn't have known about the
WC win that year, and it must be before the transition to 1 1/8"
headsets, so I'd say early 90's.
