Simes is one of these guys who just doesn't get it. 2007 is not 1970.
And what works in Europe will not work in the U.S. Track racing is like
soccer - Americans just don't care. Not even if you're married to a
Spice girl and you look like Brad Pitt.
In 1973, there was no cable TV, no Internet. You only knew what the 3
major channels fed you or what the radio played.
Now, out of all the things in Las Vegas...the magic shows..the topless
chorus girls...frickin Penn & Teller...you're gonna go see some monkeys
riding around a gerbil wheel?
I'm surprised Simes isn't trying to conince the Knicks to sell him
Madison Square Garden so he can resurrect a velodrome in there too.
While I appreciate insight from guys who are tried and tested in the
sport, sometimes they just need to go away.
Carl - why is Simes still allowed to walk the streets?
