When I post an original subject message I stay with it through thick and
thin. I NEVER leave a thread that I have had anything to do with. But Mike
Fox is a knave. He posts an original message and then runs like a coward
from it when the responses do not go along with his prejudices.
Usenet is all about contention and there is no place here for those who just
want to be agreed with. I LOVE to argue with folks and I do not even care if
I am right or wrong. The argument itself is what interests me. Hells Bells,
how do you know I am not constantly taking a devil's advocate position on
everything just for the love of argument? The fact is that you don't - and
even I don't know what I am saying half the time. I just like verbal
fireworks, having been surrounded by dullards all of my life.

BUT ...BUT ... Ed Dolan once wrote, "The important thing to remember
is to never, never disagree with anything Ed Dolan the Great says.
Then all will be right with the world." Now on the one hand hey
states that Usenet is no place for those who just want to be agreed
with and on the other hand he instructs the readership not to disagree
with him ... hmmm. Isn't this just a bit incongruous? Which Dalon is
the readership to believe? Wouldn't it just drive the man crazy if
everyone simply agreed with everything he said (wrote) no matter how
contradictory. I doubt all would be right with the world as he
asserts. What ever would the man do? The conundrum continues. - Jim

It doesn't matter in the slightest whether anyone agrees with me or not.
What matters is that something interesting gets said to which I can respond
in my own inimitable manner. I try to add to the conversation, not subtract
from it like Jim McNamara does.

I always say something of interest if only the reader has the brains to
ferret it out.

It is impossible for a stalker like Jim McNamara to ever add anything to a
conversation. All a stalker can do is subtract, never add. They are sad
pathetic cases more deserving of our sympathy than our condemnation.

Nor has anyone else ever had an original idea either, at least not that I am
aware of on these cycling newsgroups. Being able to say something of
interest has absolutely nothing to do with original ideas. In fact, most
folks who have original ideas are not even understood and no one knows what
they are talking about. It is better to be regurgitating the wisdom of the
ages than to be proselytizing with new ideas.

Customary diversion, duly noted. If your mission is accomplished,
then nothing stands in the way of your departure , so BEGONE already.
You said (wrote) that you'd never post to Usenet again, so then why
are you??? Are you not a man of your word??? Never mind ...
rhetorical question!!! It's a given that with each subsequent post,
you replenish and confirm your reputation as a man whose word is
meaningless, insignificant and rife with equivocation and
prevarication. Don't pitch a ***** about the adjectives. They are
fitting, and NO ... a thesaurus was not required. - Jim McNamara

Let me put it this way - I will outstay both Jim McNamara and Tom Sherman
provided I don't croak first from the exasperation of having to deal with
