Good choice of gifts! A 29'er, now that's pretty awesome. I have a feeling it's going to be a fun. I might have to do something similar on my birthday.

I had actually intended to order a 29'er from BikesDirect. The pricing on their entry level 29'er is AWESOME. However, Charlie @ Storm Endurance made me a good deal on the Fuji and with the free tuneups and stuff, it was worth it to spend the extra money.

Ive had some issues with BikesDirect so the deal from Charlie helped me avoid them but $595 for their 29'er is a screaming deal.

I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend you have the bike shipped to a shop and have them assemble/tune it up tho.

Dang. I would like to come ride with you, but I plan on going up to Valdese to visit my dad Saturday afternoon. Then on Sunday I'm going to ride Hwy 80 out of Marion up to the Parkway. Depending on how that goes, I'll see if I feel up to continuing on towards Mt. Mitchell. All weather & leg dependent tho.
