I suggest that riders use the "superman" position for the time trials,
since this will no longer be illegal, the race no longer being under
UCI rules. For the mountain stages, the riders could use superlight
equipment to get 5kg bicycles. So, it might be an interesting race
after all.

I think you'll find the ASO is quite content with the UCI rulebook, it's
the UCI rulers they can't stand.

I thought they were running it under the French national organization
which presumably has much the same rules as the UCI.

Having said that, it would make the race more spectator friendly if the
sprinters were allowed to headbutt and throw water bottles at each other.

I won't be happy until the prologue runs through a beer tent.
