Howdy.

I'm looking to buy a new commuter bike, probably this month. Any
recommendations (either direction) about LBSs in Winnipeg? I've had one
pro recommendation and one con so far.

TIA

I left a higher paying job to wrench a summer for Norm Gooch. It's an
old family run business. The way they treated their customers was
refreshing after my experience in other shops.

It could still well the first place Winnipegers look for a bike. I've
only passed through a few times in the past thirty-five years. Unless
he sold his name, I'd be shocked if it were different now.

Gooch is on my list. Got my first real bike there (1973?). They're my
closest LBS. I like the Brodie they have, although it's about the
priciest bike I'm considering ($799). There are several LBSs that look
good but that I've never dealt with (and have no info about).
