View Full Version : Are the Sponsors on Drugs?

Who isn't already sick of all the bickering back and forth between UCI
and ASO? The teams don't know WTF to do. The lawyers are no doubt
happy, but where the hell are the sponsors? If they are the ones paying
the bills they should just step up and declare how the world will be
run. UCI go to that corner, ASO the other. And shut up.
Why don't the sponsors stop watching their equity go down the drain and
make something happen instead?

No, the sponsors aren't on drugs.
The riders are on drugs.
The sponsors are on the jerseys.

The sponsor are in it because of the publicity they get from the
races that ASO and the other grand tour organizers run. ASO knows
this.
The UCI has little other than the Olympics, which are contested by
national rather than trade teams. The odds of a sponsor payoff due
to one of their riders winning a gold medal (remember, no one
remembers silver or bronze) are slim. If I were a sponsor I'd throw
in with ASO. If sponsors feel that the ASO-led coalition will reduce
the exposure to a Landis-like problem then it becomes a no brainer.

Good question.
Drug test everybody in cycling, riders, mgrs, wrenches, sponsors,
admins, lab people.
Everyone is on something.
Nicotine, prescription pain killers, coke, uppers, alcohol, PEDs,
dope, viagra.
Even **** Pound is probably one one or more of the above.
Some are hypocrits and holier than thou. Others ride bicycles.

With all the anti-commercialism/corporate/anti-capitalism **** coming
out of McBoggy I'm surprised that the sponsors aren't more anti-UCI.
Verbruggen was a lot of things but I wouldn't call him stupid,or
incompetent, reminds me of Cheney. McBoggy is looking more like our
little Bush everytime he opens his mouth, or tries to take charge it's
a fiasco.
Listening to the riders whining though, I'm thinking they deserve
what they are getting too. I've seen more balls in a Playboy.

Dumbass,
And most important of all, test the podium girls for breast implants.

Would there be out-of-competition testing?
