He was quite a guy. I remember, in the early 80s, flying to LA for a meeting
with **** Burke, the bicycle product manager (Harry Spehar) and maybe 10
other dealers. The point of the meeting was not to sell us on Trek; rather,
it was to bring up EVERYTHING the company was doing wrong. And come up with
ways to fix them. I was expecting a dog & pony show, and instead faced a
company that was telling us it was seriously messed up and needed to
improve. Very eye-opening, to say the least.

Sunday, the circle will be complete, as I fly back to Wisconsin for his
services.

No Trek casket? Then in Heaven he can say" I rode a Trek here" and
all the other souls can say "Me too!"
