Hi Folks,

I am new to the area. I have a five year old daughter and would like to find a safe environment to take her to ride. I'm looking for a mostly flat area with paved paths.

We live in North Raleigh, close to Wake Forest.

If anyone knows of an area that we can just get out and stretch our legs, I'd appreciate the advice.

Thanks,

GS

Welcome to Triangle Cycling!

I can't recommend anything, but I'm sure some of our north Raleigh riders can.

Depends on what you're looking for, and how far you're willing to drive to get there.

Here's a map of the greenways:

The greenway north of Durant is a little hilly. The one south of Durant is flatter.

- There's gravel path cycling at Durant nature park. I've never ridden it though, not sure how kid friendly it would be.
- Shelley lake can be a good ride, though a little busy at times.
- not sure what the Wakefield path is like
