better get to working on the spam

As the thread title says...another forum, cyclingforums.com is inundated with this kind of spam and has become pretty much useless...don't let it happen here.

I know the Great One will take care of this pretty soon :).

If you click on the "!" in the red triangle next to the post number, you can report the thread to Jay. Also, as a moderator, you can delete the threads. I only have moderator status for the Cue Sheet forum, but I thought you had moderator status for all of the fora. Click on "thread tools", click on the radio button next to "delete thread", then click on the "perform action" button.

I knew you were a moderator for some fora, abut I did not know which ones. I can delete threads in the Cue Sheet forum, but not in any other fora. Jay can delete them everywhere.

What's up with all the spam recently? Seems to be hanging around for a while too...I am pretty sure the spam hangs around until a moderator or administrator deletes the post. Jay has been busy lately, so while he eventually gets around to deleting them, it does not happen immediately. I can only delete spam that is in the Cue Sheet forum, since I do not have moderator rights to any other forum.

ive been peeping around and alerting him to spam and he zaps it as soon as he or i notice it. jay's got a lot of new responsibilties outside of the forums and unfortunately hes not as readily available as usual. im sure he appreciates everyone's understanding and patience in regards to spam and its timely deletion. ;)
