Assault on Mt. Mitchell

Hi Guys. My ride to/from Spartanburg/Mt. Mitchell just fell through and I'm looking for someone to carpool with. I also need creative ideas on where to park a car in order to avoid the long bus ride back to Spartanburg after the ride.

Also, my buddy has a rider number for Mitchell that will go unused unless he can sell it. He's not trying to make any profit, just cover his costs. Let me know if you're interested.

Dang, Ken, sorry to hear about that. I don't know of anyone needing a Mitchell pass. I wouldn't mind having one, but I want to do AoM first and then try AoMM next year.

I'm leaving a car in Marion and getting a ride from my friend Andy (who's doing AoMM and leaving a car as well) from Marion to Spartenburg. I would offer to carpool, but I am expecting to have to visit my Dad after the ride. He's having a CAT scan to see if there's something causing the strange activity he has been doing and I won't know whether I need to stay a day or so until then.

You might try posting on the AoMM group here (http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/aomm/). I'm sure you might find a ride and your buddy will most likely get the ticket snapped up pretty quickly.

From the assaults website at the bottom of the page:

"You can drop a vehicle at Tom Johnson's Campground on Sunday between the hours of 1 pm and 7 pm on Sunday, June 8th. There is a $5.00 fee, and there is a guard that patrols the camp ground. However, you'd be responsible for any losses."

The bus ride back to Spartanburg is torture!

I've heard of Mitchell numbers for sale on eBay, but have not seen them myself.

Regarding the sale of the Mitchell number, there are several people on the AOMM Yahoo group that have sold theirs recently. That might be another option.
