got an old 10 speed jap bike, good brand in it's time-nishiki i think.
crank bearings and crank quite loose
shop 1 says cost could be high due to possible scoring of pedal
crank-might require replacement of pedal crank (or whatever it's
called) plus bearings.
shop 2 says repack bearings-very cheap price
shop 3 says best is to put in bearing insert, cost medium, about $30
which do you think is the best way to go? got the bike for next to
nothing, so don't want to spend alot on it, but any fix has to last.
or is it better to just buy a different bike?
