That was one of the best stages I've seen, even with the crappy
reception from the weather.

I can't predict podiums, but this reaction, I could have predicted :)

Di Luca made up around 2:00.
Ricco, the irritating cobra, only about 30 sec.
DI LUCA!!

Di Luca opening up on the climb was awsome, but even Ricco's attack
was fun to watch if for no other reason than it showed us what
Contador could do.
I wonder what would have happened if Nibali had been given the green
to help Salvodelli and Co.

Contador should try to keep a better watch on the 2 Italians tomorrow.
On the last day Contador will hopefully gain a minute or two on Ricco
and Di Luca and secure the Giro victory.

Yes, you have to wonder what he was doing there, he might as well had
dropped out and waited for Pelizotti

You mean you support him? I used to but can't stand the bugger now.
Could be the Bruyneel connection.

I used to think Levi set the standard for irrelevance
by taking a podium spot in the Tour and still not
being a rider that mattered.
But here he couldn't even manage to stick with the
lead group long enough for his inability to provide
support to become an issue. If Contador is lucky
Klöden will be able to pick up the slack again
tomorrow. If he's not lucky then the race will hit
the fan.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not crazy about Contador winning. But who else
is there? I'm not going with Di Luca who is even more suspicious. Or
that Ricco, who for some reason I can't stand, (I think it's his
face). Jurgen VDB is coming close but he won't make it this year.

I'm not sure your analysis is correct. It could be that Contador got into
trouble today partly because he wanted to stay with his team mates for as
long as possible. I have to believe Contador's a better climber than the
other two (and certainly better than Levi), and wonder just what was going
on strategically. It's possible that Contador was simply having a very bad
day and not living up to his superman reputation, but it's also possible
that either mentally he didn't want to outride his support.
Or was I the only person watching Contador and wondering why he didn't take
off on his own and ditch his team mates?
