I like to look at police chases on TV which often result in terrible
crashes. Is everyone killed? Not by a long shot. Most of the time the
criminals jump out of their crashed vehicle and began running on foot. In
other words, for every motor vehicle crash that results in a death, there
are thousands which do not result in death or even in any serious injuries.
That is most certainly not the case when a motor vehicle crashes into a
cyclist. The cyclist will be seriously injured each and every time that
happens.
