I think may have had my season high single day distance.

http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=2076215

It was quite a ride. There were some great slalom roads and rollercoaster
hills. I'm coming to really dislike Glen Williams/Georgetown. Every time I
go through there - which is infrequent. I get screwed up in my directions.
In this case a $#$#%& bridge was closed for repair. But even so there seems
to be something counter-intuitive about the streets of G-town.

All in all it was a beautiful day, warm and sunny but not overly hot or
humid. The only other detraction was the steady headwind for the homeward
leg.

I've probablly seen you on the road, I'm coming out of brampton
myself. I used to do the king road w from winston churchill to younge,
but theres way too many dump trucks using that road nowadays. St
catherines always always gets me screwed up if I have to detour off 81

94 miles over rolloing terrain, alone is one heck of an accomplishment.
I don't like doing 70 without someone to keep me company (and I've done
triple centuries).

Congrats also. Have you ever done a "full' (English) century?

Thanx. I thought about that after I mapped the trip but I doubt even if I'd
known I could have gone any further. I was knackered.

The hills seemed bigger coming back for some reason. And there was one I did
walk my bike up. It was 22nd Sideroad at 4th Line past Limehouse. It was
doable when fresh but this was towards the end.

And it wasn't all hills. outsode the river valleys there were considerable
stretches of level or nearly level terrain.

Ya, not recently. I did a 2 week vacation tour in 2004 that got me over 100
miles in a day.

I did something like 159 km one day on tour when I couldn't find a
place to stop (in the Niagara area of Ontario.) I just could not have
done that last kilometre.

Ya. Towards the end I can't describe the relief when I recognized I'd
reached Watson Rd. It signaled I was almost home.

Other than this foray I haven't gone east past the Acton/Milton line so
much lately - lately being the past couple seasons. I probably spent the
bulk of my rides to the north and west of Guelph aiming for the area around
and towards Elmira, Elora, Fergus and KW/Cambridge though of all that I
would nominate Cambridge as the most bike unfriendly city in the area even
though there are some nice river trails along the Grand River.

I dunno about east of Hwy 50 but I found both Old School/Old Healey Rd. and
Casltederg/Old Baseline legs quite pleasant. They had good surfaces, nice
scenery, a mix of level and rolling terrain and not too much traffic.
