Interesting reading. Maybe Big Tex should have stayed around for another
year so he could tie Poulidor's podium-appearances record.

It also points out the many ways Eddy was able to dominate his tours.
Most days in leader's jersey, most stage wins, and that 1969 tour when
he took all the jerseys, and would have won the Young Rider shirt if
that was awarded.

Very interesting!

I'm having a hard time in understanding why the TDF is more than double in
the points scale compared to the Giro d'Italia. It's certainly not twice as
difficult. How is this scaling determined?
