From the article:
-----------------------------------------------------------
Saunier Duval is to pull out of cycling sponsorship with immediate
effect. The German heating-technology firm had sponsored the Saunier-
Duval Scott team, which withdrew from this year's Tour de France last
week when its star rider, Riccardo Ricco, tested positive for the
banned blood-booster EPO.
The Spanish-run team have since sacked Ricco and another stage-winner,
Leonardo Piepoli, for "a violation of the team's ethics code". The
remaining cyclists, technical staff and doctors in the team had
written an open letter to their sponsors, asking them to keep faith
and not judge the rest of the team by the actions of Ricco and Piepoi.
However the Tour of Germany organisers have already barred the
disgraced team from taking part in this year's event, and Saunier
Duval president Thierry Leroy had said he felt "deceived and angry" in
the wake of the doping revelations.
