My new Deuter Hokus Pokus Hip Pack just arrived, and I am very excited about
it. I bought it mainly because I was looking for a Deuter-quality hip pack.
In these summer months, obviously a hip pack is preferable to a back/day
pack, for cooling across the back while riding. But there are times when I
need more capacity than a mere hip pack.

This day pack FOLDS OUT OF the hip pack.

This was not clear to me, from the Deuter website product description.

Whatever; perhaps I was just being dense, which has happened on several
occasions.

There are MANY pockets. I can post pics on my website, if requested.

This is IMO a great product, and Deuter has done a poor job in marketing it.

Subject- Bike Rack, or how to transport a trike? I have a 2008 Yaris
and just had a trailer hitch installed on it. I also have a Sun Bike
EZ-3SX which I really enjoy. I'm looking for ways to transport my
trike to Rapid City to take advantage of some of the bike trails. I
live about 15 miles from Rapid City and no where really neat to ride
here. I want to be able to do some of the bike rides and trails in the
Black Hills. I'm diebetic, need the excerise, and the EZ-3 is my way
of doing it. I'm up to 2 miles each day and working on increasing it.
So I need sugguestions on how to transport my bike. My wife has a
regular bike and by taking the front and rear tires off we can get it
in the car. Either plans for a homemade carrier, or a commericial
one, any sugguestions??

Better to start a new thread [1], rather change the subject.

Besides, Jay may send his mafia buddies after you for hijacking his
thread. ;)

[1] Which is why I put my reply in a new thread.

No, the label inside says it is made in Vietnam. - under license for Deuter
Sport GmbH Germany.

I have decided reasonable middle class consumers cannot fight globalization.

Occasionally I am shocked in a store when I look at a label and it says
"Made in USA".
