Damn. I was clean, right up to this. I use OpenOffice for pretty much
nothing but mileage tracking (via spreadsheet). That, and my GPS software.

Silca, with Campy head.

Breaking Away on DVD. Only reason I watched "AF" more than once was to
see how many extras I knew/recognized. What a dog :-p

Duh! ;-)
Do original Red Zinger programs count for anything. Got one or two.

Google earth count? I tend to use gmaps, but still have earth. I've

Yup, wear it all the time (My father died of cancer, I wear it in his

Both

Yes

The USPS jersey. The LaVie Clair I've retired. It's starting to fade
after all these years (it is my oldest jersey) The Discovery is cut a
bit short and tends to ride up my back, so I rarely wear it.
>Possess at least one TdF video (DVD or VHS)
Yes The Lance 7 collection

Yes. (Sun Tour model, I think) I don't know why. both my bikes have
freehubs.

Tried the flikStand, didn't like it. I used to have one of those gadgets
you stick into your brake lever to lock it, but I found there's usually
something on the ground that will do the same thing just fine.

Again, yes. On my tourer. It's too awkward reaching that far back to
brush it with my gloved hand while riding.

Yes, for both dogs and tires.

A window sign, "My Other Car Is A Schwinn" which I made on my PC

All of the above. No, wait, I don't have "Breaking Away", ulness you

I have an old style, sprung kickstand that's
clamped onto my left chain/seatstays.
It works beautifully. As long as the bike

I also have a number of freewheel removers;
those 2-prong SunTour ones are basically
disposable after one use. I also have a Park
3rd Hand which is highly useful, same as my
combo headset/pedal wrench. I wish I had a
set of thick-handled, one-sided cone wrenches.
But the thin, double-ended Parks I currently
have, adequately do the trick.
I name all my bikes, because they have distinct

Hmm, how to answer this. I have bicycle related stickers on at least one bike.
The wife's car only has a "Kill Your TV" sticker.
> Has named at least one of their bikes (what is/was it/they named)?
No, you shouldn't anthropomorphize bikes or computers, they don't like
that.
> Owns one or both of John Tesh's "Tour de France" soundtrack albums (or
> those from one of the above movies)?
Ugh. John Tesh? Seriously? Now if you had said Kraftwerk I would have
been with you.

Nope

Eh, only scripts I've written for myself. So this one is a yes, sort
of.
> Has at least one framed picture hanging on the wall with a bicycle in

Guilty. And more in the works.
> Keeps at least one of their machines in their bedroom?
No

No
Now, who's guilty of some of these?
Convincing your work to send your bike with you on a trip instead of
renting you a car? [1]
Having more bikes than people in a household?
Having *twice* as many bikes as people in the house?
Have no room in the garage for a car because of the bike stuff?
Do you find yourself choosing friends based on their bicycling habits?
You resent the nice weather because the roads and trails are cluttered
with clueless riders?
Have more biking shoes than all your other shoes combined? [2]
Do more shopping by bike than by car/foot/bus?
[1] I'm in Portland at the moment doing this.
[2] I've only recently become innocent of this.

Guilty of "used to," very briefly.

Mine are Henry, Waldo, and Ansel, respectively named after Thoreau,
Emerson, and Adams.

Too faddish

Not into racing... don't watch the tour.

And still use it! :-)

Nope, never tried one...

I remove those...

If only I could find one for a decent price. Have been thinking about
getting one for the unused pump peg on my touring bike. :-)

Does a laminated picture taped inside the rear window count? ;)

I checked that out from the library a few weeks ago. Didn't really like it.

Ugh... no way!

Who me? BTW.. you forgot about the t-shirts.. ;) Almost every day of
the week! My favorite is the outline of a road bike with the words
"fuel efficient" underneath!
> Keeps at least one of their machines in their bedroom?
I prefer to stay alive. :-) Then again, carrying a steel touring bike
with lights/fenders/racks upstairs wouldn't be so fun.

Not a Varsity, but other Schwinns...

Nah, give 'em to my wife. She has the same style pump painted to match
her bright pink w/black splatter Stowe. The tandem has a custom painted
Silca pump as well (with fade matching the frame), but it only has the
cheap Silca (plastic) head.

Haven't managed that, yet.

Soon, but due to my daughter moving out (fortunately) rather than buying
another bike (unfortunately).

Bikes don't like the garage.

Close, but no.

No. Closest shopping is on the other side of some serious climbs, so I
admit to driving there more than riding.

**Thrice** as many. Unless you count a cat as people.

No garage.

Yes, regardless of the clued status of other users.

Yes.
So are we all going to add on?
Do you:
- Have more water bottles than actual glasses?
- Think of distances in terms of cycle timing? Even continental distances?
- Evaluate the opposite and same sex in terms of leg musculature and how
serious of cyclist they might be?
- Consider weather forecasts in terms of windows of opportunity for cycling?
.....'scuse me. I have to go get a ride in before the thunderstorm hits.

Never had the kind of job that required "Business trips" . I have run
errands for the boss by hopping on my bike to go buy some small
"trinket" like screws and such. Does that count?

Only once, My two bikes and my landlady's one.

Never

Again, nope.

Most of my friends I have met in bike clubs, so yeah. I am branching out
though, now that I'm starting to dabble in RC aircraft...
>You resent the nice weather because the

Are you kidding? I live in South Carolina. When I go for a ride I'm
usually the ONLY cyclist on the road!

No, but close

I used to do everything by bike. For twenty years I didn't even own a
car. Now I live too far away from everything, so I tend to do my
shopping a a stop on the drive home from work

NOT EVEN CLOSE..
People: 2 Bikes: 5 [and my wife doesn't ride]
If I count my daughters who occasionally live here:
People 4, Bikes 12

Yes, see above.

Built shed for bike stuff. Rumored to be a lawnmower somewhere in
there as well.

Been thinking about this one... Problem is that packing the bike is a
pain. Have been considering a folding bike and trying to get them to
pay the extra bag fee even though the travel policy says no.

Almost three times as many... :-)

That's a given!

That just kinda happens...

Nah, I like to see them out there and wonder where they are on the other
days!

Perhaps... I'd have to count.

I don't do most of the shopping...

1973 orange Schwinn Varsity purchased new. My brother's 1970 was green.
