Has anyone found a bluetooth headset that does a good job with wind noise?
There are times, unfortunately, when I have to be reachable... sigh.

Thanks-

Put your phone on vibrate and stop?

Nice but not always practical. Just to be clear, the only time I'd be
answering would be if I were climbing or not around other riders.

I like Roger's Idea, it doesn't "spoil the mood" of any of the other
riders in the group either.

Guess the mood's already spoiled; we have a Doctor riding with us that's
constantly taking calls while riding. It's a choice he makes; either stay in
the office or home all day to take the emergency calls, or ride with a
headset. It's certainly not ideal, but it's a whole lot better than not
riding at all.

Good answer. I suspect that most people riding with headsets and phones
are in this kind of situation. I know the only times I have done so was
when the choice was ride with the headset, or not ride at all. Cut
these folks some slack, as long as they are not just chatting with their
buddies.

To answer the OP, my Motorolla (sorry, forgot the model number) does
fairly well. My helmet straps hold it against my ear, and the wind
noise is tolerable. Beats a wired headset.

Did you consider asking the doctor/rider/cell user what he uses, has used,
and preferred?

I have a riding buddy who is often on call. He stops and takes the call. It
is a pain. Yes, Better that than to not ride at all.

Now, when you get riders using headsets...even if they do have a good
reason...you're going to have other riders
who don't have good reasons...but they will follow suit and take phone calls
while riding. They it will be common place.
That's what "cutting these folks some slack" will get us all.

Yes, but unfortunately, I haven't seen him for a week.

It's not an issue for me being neither a cell user nor a group rider but is
there a compromise between the two solitudes of cell or no cell?

Maybe separate into two pelotons? Of course who gets the rear and who get's
the front would be an issue.
