Monday Harris Lake

Brian and I are on vacation (and staying home most of the time) next week and are planning to ride Monday morning around 9 am from Harris Lake County Park in New Hill. We are going to do about 44 miles. The plan is to ride as fast as I can manage, hopefully 15-16 mph. Just wanted to see if there's anyone else out there with some free time that wants to join us at that pace. Let me know if you do and we will make a concrete start time of 9 am otherwise we'll be there when we get there:).

We ended up starting a little late so we cut the ride a little short. I haven't had much time to get out on the bike, but I've been doing a lot of time on the stationary bike at the gym and I think it must be paying off. We went 31 miles and average 16.5 mph. I found it to be a comfortable pace and I found the few hills there were I was climbing easier than they had been in the past. I love riding out there!

And then we had a huge lunch and went home a took a nap. Then, we decided it was a brilliant idea to go ride again at CSH. Rode just under 20 miles at 15 mph. Cycle, eat, sleep, cycle, eat, sleep.... good vacation day!
