8/28 Thursday ride

Looks like the weather may be okay (finally), so thinking about doing the normal Thursday night thing - The Spin Cycle @ 6pm

What's a normal Thursday night? I just got back into town...would like to ride - but don't want to get into something over my head.

There's a B and a C. Rides are getting shorter as we lose daylight. If you show up and want to ride I'll keep you company.

My evening plans fell through so I will be there for the C ride.

Good ride, boy it is getting dark earlier though!

Tim was riding his new bike, and Karen was riding her newly rebuilt vintage bike, so this ride was intended to be a bit of a shake down cruise.

Tim, Karen and I rode with the C group until the New Hill / Old US 1 intersection. We stopped to make some adjustments, and then decided to take Old US 1 back. That section south of Apex is a lot nicer now that they have completed their repaving project. Hopefully next year they will take care of the section between Apex and 64.

Stopping to make a few more adjustments, we got back to the Spin Cycle just before the B group was arrived back, and several minutes before the C group.

Tim helped me out adjusting my rear derailleur, and then 5 of us headed over to the Hibernian for beers and food. Good food and drinks, and they have had nice live music the past few times I have been there.
