Ashby,
I'm no expert on the spring CNC, last year was my first time. But I definitely felt under informed by the info they offer. They do give some good info, but not very specific in many cases.
The campsite does not move. You stay in Edenton (the host city this year). All the rides are loops out and back to Edenton. They offer lots of routes from short to long. You ride as much as you want. Start and stop when you want. They have a good number of rest stops on all the routes, but they are only 'maned' during the day (something like 8 to 5 pm).
Last year the camping was very convenient to everything. Lots of johns, pretty good shower facility (shower trucks, generally with a waiting line). I didn't need or see any electrical supply for campers though. If you want camper hook up type camping I'd look for other established camp grounds. I'm pretty sure you could find some in that general area. But all accommodations like hotels and such get snapped up very quickly. I'll bet most hotel rooms are long gone with 10 or 20 miles of town.
